10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.
For my project to help a 6th grader understand the Design cycle I am going to do a Flip book and a go animate video.
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
My project has to be well to understand and has to be at least two minutes long.

Cycle
Will be a minimum of 2 minutes long
About 5 pages long on Storybook
Not that distracting from the point
Made by Comic Master program online
Possible to transfer onto a pen drive
Be able to use while offline
   Possible to save and copy
Must be able to be created in given time
Simple to base off another project
Can not be too difficult to break
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
The flip book and go animate video have to be at least 2 minute so it would be easier to understand the design cycle. The more time it has the more details you can add.
13. How will you "test" your project?'
I will be giving tests to the 6th graders and review answers with them to see if they under stood the Design cycle.

I will give them a survey that has 10 test questions about the design cycle.
I could test my product if it was successful or not by analyzing the students surveys.  I will be successful if they are able to answer 7 out of the 10 corrections on their survey.

Investigation reflection

Through out this whole project I have acomplished doing the my explainations on what im going to do to help a 6th grader understand what the design cycle is all about by creating a 2 presentations. I give myself a 3 out of 4 with my blog it explains what im going to do to help the 6th graders out and say what my presentations are gonna be about. My blog has about pretty much everything to understand what im doing. I need to write on my blog a little bit more add more deatails and be more understanding. My investigation reflection doesnt have to much but needs more explaining. The tables i did to explain my 2 presentations that im gonna be doing have good details of what im gonna do with my presentations and how im gonna explain it.

Flip book

The simplicity for the flip book I chose 4/5 because it was simple to do cause im gonna be the one drawing the things that are gonna be on my flip book. Or maybe it would be easier to put screen shots on my flip book.

The characters I chose 5/5 because its easy to and draw or maybe get screen shots so it wouldn't be that hard to do for the character part. Character would be a little hard to because its gonna have to go with the design cycle project Im gonna be working on.

Themes on the flip book I chose 3/5 because its something you can just draw but it would be harder to do.  I can also get screen shot for this too which would be easier than just drawing it.

Go Animate

For simplicity I chose 5 out of 5 because I thought it was easy to understand and not that complicated to do. It shows you step by step while your doing the video.

Characters on go animate were okay. It would be better if we could create our own characters on the Go animate. The reason I chose 3 was because the character were okay and it be better if we could create the character. I thought it was very easy to use because you have everything and all you need to do is insert the things your gonna put on your video. There are only like 6 characters you can insert on your video.

Themes on Go animate are cartoon themes which would be fun for a 6th grader to watch. The go animate had backgrounds you could also change to any background you. You can insert music to you video or any type of sound effects. So it would be easier to do a theme.

Day 2 investigation reflection

Today in technology class I  decided to create a video to help a 6th grader learn more about the design cycle.  I found out that there are many tools to help and make a video. I have researched http://domo.goanimate.com/ it shows you how to make videos. I also decided to do a flip book its not that hard it would be much more easier to do all you have to is draw. Or you can also get screen shots for the flip book that would be easier to understand than the drawings. These are the two thing I am going to do to help a 6th grader understand the design cycle it will be clear and simple.

Area of Interaction: Community and Service , Approaches to Learning & Human Ingenuity
Significant Concept: Design Cycle can be used to solve problems
Unit Question: How can my learning help my community? How do I make Sound Choices?
INVESTIGATE: (Write in complete sentences) Identify the Problem
1. What is the problem you need to solve? Explain to a 6th grader what the design cycle is  all about by creating a presentation. (3d, PPT, movie, game, Poster)
2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world? Design cycle solve problems.
3. How will this project serve my community? This project will help 6th graders understand this class better.
4. How can my learning help my community? Were helping 6th graders with understand technology class better.
5. How do we live in relation to each other? We all help each other.
6. How does this help others? It helps people understand technology class better.
7. What are the requirements for this assignment? To make and try to help 6th graders understand this class better.
8. What is the Design Cycle?
REFLECT on your learning.
Day 2
9. Spend one day experimenting with DESIGN CYCLE your presentation. List five things your learned about the Design Cycle:
Day 3
Design Brief
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.
Formulate a Design Specification
11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
13. How will you "test" your presentation?
REFLECT ON YOUR LEARNING
PLAN:
14. Brainstorm ideas. Use the chart below
IB Brainstorming Chart .pdf found in schoology under “materials”& then files
15. What idea did you choose to demonstrate the design cycle and why did you choose it?
16. Does your idea meet all of the requirements?
17. Use the story board paper below to plan your presentation.  Include how many levels you will have, what will be on each level, how will you include teaching skills to young students, and what will your questions be about.
story board.pdf found in schoology under “materials” & then files.
18. Explain how you will use your time to get your project finished in 12 days:
REFLECT on your learning
EVALUATE:
20. How could you improve your presentation?
21. Does your presentation meet all of the requirements?
22. Share your presentation with at least 2-8th, 3-9th, 4-10th+ friends. What did he/she like about your presentation?
23. Reflect on all the steps of the Design Cycle. What did you do well? What do you need to improve?
24. Were you responsible in using the software, Internet, pictures, and computer?
25. How can my learning help my community?
26. What grade do you deserve on this project? (1 - 6)

ATTITUDE:
27. Reflect on your attitude on each step of the Design Cycle. Did you completely answer each step without complaining, being a whiny baby, or saying "it's too hard". Explain your answer:
28. What grade do you deserve on your attitude? (1 - 6)
